Unfortunately I’ve been on twitter recently so I’ve seen Margaret Qualley is getting divorced which im pleased about, everytime I saw a photo of them together there was an aura gap.
I’ve just seen someone say “wow she’s really method acting for the new possession movie” and for a nepo baby shes pretty good at acting but she could NEVER measure up to Isabelle Adjani. Adjani was BRILLIANT and I don’t even like Possession that much.
I am just so sick of remakes. Especially since horror as a genre is doing pretty well right now. Obsession and Backrooms were both good.
Even if you didn’t like the films you can appreciate what they signify to the industry. They didn’t use ai, had original stories for the most part, they were indie and they had new talent on the screen unlike Margaret

I’m really hoping it captures the isolating horror of the original but I highly doubt it. Andrze’s style was what made it so good but least It doesn’t seem to be massive hollywood slop. If its like anything like the Susperia remake I have no interest tbh as much as i like Margaret I dunno :thinkingemoji:
Zulawski’s style is almost common these days. However they parody that frantic absurd melodrama will be really annoying. But a remake was inevitable. For the last five-ish years Possession has been screened at least twice per month around my local cinemas, not including holiday screenings. Isabelle Adjani’s performance was singular and will remain unmatched.
