Strange Sights And Sounds

The most frequent are voices in a radio coming from directly behind me that disappear when I turn around to look in their direction. When I stop looking they immediately return. They talk about ridiculous things I do not want to hear about like the progress of a croquet game I don’t understand, or nonexistent towns in the tri state area that are supposed to have some kind of attraction, or tabloid news that i have no reference for, and they recite information about where world leaders i’ve never heard of will be conducting meetings this week. There are other things too, like hokey medical advice and guest interviews that discuss some banal life circumstance. The visual incidences are not as prominent, but they are unnerving. Most of the time they start with scraping sounds or knocks and clicks, like something alive. I do worry about mice, cockroaches etc., so I follow the sounds to cabinets and walls. There are many electrical cords around the edges of the walls of the apartment and I could swear they are being pulled behind furniture and objects into the corners of the rooms. Sometimes it’s slow and controlled, sometimes it’s in strange jerking movements like something is stuck. By the way their movements become more confident when I watch them quietly instead of moving around, I can tell whatever is pulling on them thinks it’s hiding from me. The sense of dread is quite severe, and I don’t want to get close because I don’t know what will happen, so I try to look at what’s going on from other angles which really only confirms what I think I’m seeing. Eventually the cords slow down and stop and the radio returns to the normal volume. I think the duration of the visual hallucinations is something like 10 or 15 minutes.
