Sobriety

Useless drunk here that rants about being drunk and depressed on EUM here to say I am 9 days sobe. It’s been a challenge but it happened. I didn’t get any withdrawal symptoms despite drinking like a fish but my health status is a little bit on the unknown side.. cancer could be growing in my live this very second. Sobriety has been hard to cope with especially being friendless and jobless but still just the little things keep me going a little bit I guess. I know in the back of my mind I’ll go back and dw I’ll make sure not whine about it her it’s really cringe.

A quick one for anyone who feels like they are slipping down a slop into alcoholism please stop right NOW. You will start making excuses for your drinking until you’re saying to yourself that drinking 1 liter of Vodka regularly is fine. It will also slowly rot your soul and you will become a monster SO STOP RIGHT NOW. Go have a wank and enjoy a snack it’s a lot more fulfilling than being a useless drunk.

ALSO random other thing stretch regularly! Your body and mind are connected and OMFG the amounts of times it helped me feel better and got rid of cravings was crazy! You don’t have to focus on how you think and feel sometimes when your body is loosened up especially your butthole for Tyrone’s BBC *looks at OMH*

Someone I know is drunk 24/7 and would have me as a kid, some other kids, and adults in the car as them as the driver, ABSOLUTELY wasted beyond belief. I could’ve died as a kid all cause some adults didn’t wanna say anything lol. I still occasionally see this person and honestly the fact they’re always drunk just, doesn’t really surprise me anymore. The very, very few times I’ve seen them sober, they’ve were completely different. Drunk, they’re loud and borderline annoying with how much jokes they crack, but sober, they’re quiet and pretty angry. Now that I think about it I’ve actually known like 5+ alcoholics, wtf??

I also knew someone who died because of alcoholism. I first tried alcohol when I was 14, and quickly realised I’m a heavyweight. Never tried it again until I was an adult and even then I need like 2 bottles of vodka to feel truly drunk. At one point I would drink some alcohol before doing things that make me nervous, but that was mostly placebo effect.

Honestly drugs and alcohol, I’ve seen ruin many people. Like REALLY ruin… I suggest you try and stop drinking. Maybe try and switch your addiction as f’d as that sounds… distract yourself. Alcoholism can really fuck you up. Look up some of the worst cases and you’ll probably understand why I’m telling you this.

Nah. I ended up in a bad place so stopped drinking. I dumped a load of good friends to avoid temptation but have got back to a place where I can drink and not go full loon. AA might say people can never drink again as that is their philosophy but it is just one way of thinking. I enjoyed my drunken times. I did some amazing things and met some amazing people and if I had been a veg-juicer none of that would have happened. The vast majority of people drink their whole lives without a problem so it is relatively harmless.
