Savior Complex

Author: Dawid

Yesterday I cut off my addict friend for the last and final time and with that I realized I could have a savior complex. An important distinction between helping people and helping yourself by “saving” others is the way you view the savee. Slowly I stopped seeing him as a capable person but rather as a deer you’d find on a side of a dark forest road after it’s been hit by a car. I should’ve listened when I was told I can’t fix everyone and that it’s not my responsibility, i saw people who told me that as cold and cruel, I still somewhat do but I can still recognize they’re right. Deep down people with a savior complex care about how they look in their eyes and the eyes of people watching more than they care about the savee, they like it when they can stick a gold star on themselves and tell themselves “good job” for “saving” another capable adult who they don’t owe and never have owed anything. I wished I could take away his agency and keep him in a basement or some shit just to satisfy my ego because I’d know my purpose was fulfilled, as long as he didn’t do substances anymore I would be happy. Figuring out what other people need is easier than figuring out what you need, you project the need to save yourself on someone else because it’s easier to force someone to change than to change as a person. Thankfully I’ve never come across someone who would exploit this need I have, if I ever do I’ll know what they’re trying to do, I’m just not sure if I’ll be able to back out of it

Got Used By A Skinny White Twink! I met this skinny white twink on grindr to get some ass not too long ago. I didnt know how hung he was cause I didnt care to ask. After meeting up I was having trouble staying hard so he offer to give me a massage. Once he pulled out his BWC and started rubbing it against my ass something clicked. At first I resisted as his cock slide back and forth across your hole. I can feel the wetness from all his precum. “You’ll love it” he joking stated Then his dick finally just slid in naturally. I froze as his dick was opening up my hole. He pushed my head down on the bed and started fucking me slowly. I could feel my dick getting hard underneath me. This couldn’t be happening. I was too embarrassed to move cause I didn’t want him to notice how hard I was. What kind of top am I? So at first I pretended not to enjoy it. Then he started to pick up the pace. I could feel his dick getting bigger inside me. With every stroke impulses shot through my whole body. The urge to release was so strong. My eyes rolled back, mouth wide open. Then it happened… “I knew all you black boys loved white cock” he blurted out. I instantly got even harder. Pretty sure the hardest Ive even been in my life. He was pounding me so hard I… Read more »

True Story: My Hottest Gay Fuck I am a married bi guy in my 30s. I’m tall and masculine with body hair that I keep trim in all the right places. I like my men the way I like my women, smooth and tender. I also love having sex in steaming hot showers, pools, hot tubs, and natural bodies of water. I’ve been attracted to lots of different types of men, but I always seemed to have a particular hot spot for asian men. In my mid 20s, I had just gotten out of a toxic relationship and was eager to find some guys who wanted to play. I posted an ad online and got a response from a college student in the metro area where I lived. From the very moment we exchanged pictures, he was ringing my bell! He was asian, smooth, and fit. In one picture, he was shirtless, posed playfully wearing a pair of dragon wings. In another picture, he was standing in the shower with water cascading over his naked body, his hands covering his crotch. It was the perfect tease for me! He said he was looking for oral play, which sounded great to me. I had topped a few times before, but I wasn’t very experienced with it and thought it was a little awkward compared to fucking pussy. I drove out to his apartment later that night. My heart was pounding in my chest because it had been a long time since… Read more »

As an addict myself and someone who had been in a relationship with one that spiraled out of control you did the right thing. Just like Meow said the only person who can help themselves is themselves but if they have no desire to then it will just become a relentless cycle that will become more and more toxic as time goes on. It’s a really hard thing to do but your well being is most important

You did the right thing by cutting that person off. And the ones who told you that you couldn’t save everyone were not cold and cruel but in fact 100% spot on. Even so, it really isn’t your responsibility to ‘save’ anyone but if you must try, you have to know when to take a step back. All you can do is lead the ‘savee’ to the doorway. They have to walk through to salvation. Only they can summon the will to cross that threshold. That is, if that will even exists in the first place. And they have to WANT salvation! You can’t want it for them. It doesn’t work that way. Plain and simple. If you want to save folks, perhaps you should become a paramedic. Because the people they help actually want to be saved. As for addicts? Hell, all they want is the next hit and to drag others down in the process. Regardless if it’s family or friends. Maybe the drugs make them do it, maybe not. Or maybe… that callous, selfish nature was already there and the drugs amplified it, bringing it to the surface. Drugs and alcohol do tend to bring out one’s inner demons, the loss of inhibitions. And most times, those demons don’t go away when one gets sober. They still reside within. Still influencing, but to a lesser degree. So, you have to ask yourself: Is this person even worth saving? Or even, is this person’s presence on this planet… Read more »

I realised only just a few months ago that you truly cannot save anyone unless they want to save themselves. I used to have severe depression, there was only about one person trying to help me (in the worst way possible), but since I would rather drown in my own sorrow and enjoy watching myself get worse, even if more people did try and help, I don’t think anyone could’ve helped me. The funny thing is, I didn’t recover with therapy, I recovered by realising how silly all of this is. I just kept telling myself that life isn’t that deep, and you know what? It actually worked, even though it’s kinda cringe.

I’ve tried being there for multiple people. But they all stayed the same or got worse, because they didn’t want to get better. Yet they still want to use people as friends they can vent to. I tried comforting them as much as possible, but they liked the attention. They liked knowing I and others are worried about them. After a while I honestly just ghosted some of them. Didn’t ghost the ones that were actually nice though, just had a quick conversation and then ended the relationship with them.

The type of people I hate are the ones who constantly whine and vent to you, using you as their free therapist, but you can tell they don’t actually want help. Even worse when they don’t have trauma but still decide to be a little bitch.

I hate those with a mindset of fixing people .
