Chapter 6- Heart of Coal
I hate Santa. How could he have cheated on me? I was angry but I knew it wasn’t worth getting mad over because…well… I’ve actually kissed his boss. Not many people know this but Santa Claus isn’t the actual father of Christmas, it’s actually Papa Otto. Papa Otto is beyond handsome. His slick hair with streaks of grease that smell like Mcdonald’s fries add a special scent to him that lures me in. His brown sugar eyes have a spark of light in them. I can’t help but to skip a heart beat whenever I’m around him, he just sets me in a blissful mood. However, I felt pity for myself. I had let a man, who looks like an obese goat, cheat on me. A wave of sadness came over me, a nostalgia of some sort. I missed something I never truly had, Santa’s actual love. To help heal the depth of my sorrow, I played Olivia Rodrigo’s album named “Sour”.

Midway through the album, I knew who I had to see. Papa Otto. I ran with all my leg strength and finally had arrived. I knocked on the hardware front door. The door opened. I didn’t say a word, I just wrapped my hands around Papa Otto and gave him a kiss. A kiss which seemed to last a decade. His chubby hands brushed through my fluffy, cotton-like hair and slowly they started moving down to my gluteus-maximus. I knew what was about to go down and I was thrilled. Papa Otto was so much better than Santa Clown! The song “Happier” by Olivia Rodrigo flashed through my thoughts and a rush of despair hit me.
