I’m not a massive music enjoyer much anymore but sometimes I have autistic moments with certain songs where I become hyper focused on them. I think atm my autistic ass cant stop listening to the Obsession movie soundtrack, specific the tracks “Bear” “The Letter” and “Nikki”. I listen to them on loop and daydream about scenarios where my life is meaningful or I’m doing some romantic gay shit with someone. The most dumbass/trash movies can end up meaning a lot to me if the soundtrack is banging. I hate admitting this but Melancholie der Engel was one of those movies. I won’t go into a Marian Dora rant but I despise that man almost more than Lucifer Valentine but yikes he’s a little rat. I still catch myself going back to the beautiful piano and violin songs from Engels a lot though. The War Zone is another good example although less repulsive of a movie (besides the scene near the end which I wont spoil). I remember walking around my hometown listening to that soundtrack, feeling grateful for my life and where I live even though was on a verge of a breakdown from a relationship breaking down and being cheated on every 5 seconds. Strange isn’t it how music can change how we think and feel about things. Tinashe did nothing for me though damn her music SUCKS even for a flaming ex pop culture faggot.
I don’t really ever listen to pop for some reason but Olivia Rodrigo’s album has been stuck in my head for a good month straight and the emotions I feel when I listen to specific songs from it are so crazy it makes my heart race and blocks out all the noise around me idk how to explain…like I just stare at a ceiling for hours at night and listen and don’t get bored…I relate to this post and honestly haters gonna hate but her new album is great and I didn’t really listen to her beforehand
Best songs are cigarette smoke, what’s wrong with me with Robert smith, the cure
I get being super into music like that. I have countless songs that I’ve looped countless times. One of them being Lights In the Sky by Nine Inch Nails. It’s funny, actually… music is one of the few things that really takes me back to a different time. Whenever I listen to that song now, it reminds me of the headspace I was in for that week where I listened to it hundreds of times. Art just does that sometimes I guess.
HEY admin. Why did you ignore my post about missing the old format? Ain’t you gonna bring it back?
I bet Admins old website was a gay BBC website
looping music is supposed to be helpful with most neurodivergences…blocks out stimuli, stabilizes dopamine levels and supposedly helps neuroplasticity
