Film Requirements For EUM

Author: Film lover

So, what’s the requirements for a movie to be on here? Because there’s a lot of movies on here that are definitely… low quality, to say the least. Some even have little to no gore in them.

I’m currently making a movie using my iPhone. Only me and 5 others are in charge of everything. It started off as a joke with us all, but then we actually got kinda serious about it… My idea for the movie is that a lonely blood fetishist cuts her fingertips for blood and slowly fills a jar with it. And in the end she cuts her wrist for blood, causing injury but eventually not dying. I’m currently looking for an actress but I’m not sure how the fuck to do find one. The main character will be wearing a mask.

I also wonder if this could qualify to be on here…

The french film “Mais ne nous delivrez pas du mal” (Don’t deliver us from evil) from 1971 was banned in it’s own country France because of its blasphemy, teenage nudity, sexual content etc.
That’s an example of a film that would fit well in here on EUM.
It’s not gory but it chocked some of its audience back then.

As a blood fetishist I’d love to see this movie even if it’s low quality.

I recently put up a list of 10 films (with 2 bonus films) that I feel should be on EUM due to their fucked up-ness level and only one of them has a significant amount of gore. 2 others have fleeting amounts of gore. Honestly I’m not really in to gory movies. I would rather watch an intelligent fucked up psychological drama than a mindless blood and guts film. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with gore in a film. Some films use gore very effectively like “Morphine” (2008), “Men Behind The Sun” (1988) and “Orozco The Embalmer” (2001) but it is not a requirement that I feel would constitute a fucked up movie. If you look at my world famous “OMH Favorite Top 100 on EUM” list you will find very few films that have gore in them at all.

A film can be fucked up/disturbing/provocing without having gore in it.
A film can be extremely violent without beeing effed up.

Some of Bergmans movies belongs here. Films like Rambo IV doesn’t.

Real gore is available here when it’s part of a shockumentary or mixtape. But real gore made for the purpose of a movie will most likely not be allowed. It’s kinda subjective and depends on the final movie.

That said, I don’t even think this is a serious pitch, but if not troll, good luck finding someone.
