Dreaming About The Meat Room

Last night I woke up tasting copper again.
Not blood. Copper. Like I licked a battery while someone was screaming in the next room.
I’ve been watching too much of this site. Or not enough. Hard to tell anymore. Every time I close my eyes I see that one scene from August Underground’s Mordum but it’s my kitchen and the fridge is full of faces that keep smiling even after I cut them up. I tried eating raw liver yesterday just to feel something solid. It helped for about twenty minutes. Then the copper taste came back stronger.
I don’t even like horror. I like the quiet after the worst part. The part where nobody talks and the only sound is wet. That’s the only time my brain shuts the fuck up.
October is coming. I can already feel it in my teeth. Same as last year. Same as the year before. Something always happens in October. Last time it was the thing with the neighbour’s dog. I still have the photos. I don’t look at them anymore but I know exactly where they are.
If anyone else has the copper taste, reply. Don’t say “seek help.” I’ve already tried. The therapist just kept asking if I was “safe” while staring at my hands like she was waiting for me to start carving again.
I’m going to sleep with the lights on tonight.
Probably won’t help.
