I hear it at night. It calls to me from some far away place, worming its way inside my ear canal and swimming along the fleshy grooves of my pink brain. It knows how to find me, no matter where I go.
At first I thought it might have been God finally answering my prayers, but not even He is so cruel as to do the things that it does. It hurts when it’s inside. I’ve tried everything to make it go away, but nothing works. I’m thinking of killing myself. Do you hear it too?
