do you have an opinion on whether or not i should engage with forums here due to..my personality differences? really don’t want to impose myself on a site that’s been other people’s place for many years.
i enjoy the 16yr olds’ humor here and it’s been nice to not have pseudointellectuals jumping down my throat about my opinions, but i don’t mind going back to lurking. ik its cringe but i have to address a topic like this now and then or imposter syndrome does not leave me in peace (over the dumbest fkn shit)

I heard rumours that Meows been here for SIX whole years but only started using her “Meow” name a few months ago. And guess what – she’s the most talked about. OMH dreams about her – or should I say, has nightmares about her, more like. Admin also is really obsessed with Meow and has even MUTED Meow a few times because Meow has such an intense aura.
And Cole… Cole literally QUIT because he was intimidated by how cool Meow is. Yeah… Meow is really quite awesome.

as the critically acclaimed author of Santa x Me and Admin x Obama (with more works to come) I have only been on here for like 1 week and have faced challenges with chuds trying to bully and bring me down. But guess what? I don’t stop! hahaha, there’s no such thing as ‘imposing yourself on a place that belongs to others’. It’s like irl. There are some who post a lot or are loud and seem dominant and this can be intimidating, as you end up always feeling like an outsider intruding. It might take time for people to notice you or even engage with you, but that’s like irl too. There’s a little hazing period. You can either: Endure the bullying and become a part. Be combative and go solo. Or be a lurker. It really depends on how many insults you can take. Or how emotionally fragile your current state might be. If it’s something that gives you undue stress, better stay a lurker. Even now, after years being a janitor/mod elsewhere and running this for almost a decade, when I’m in a phase where I have some kind of anxiety or bottled stress, it can feel like such a fucking chore to read through comments by JERKOFFS. But thing is, I try and remember that most of this is my own doing as I don’t believe in therapy or medication. So I just have to endure it.
