Boomers vs Zoomers

Zoomers

– Pros
• I can actually hardly think of any pros. Only pros I can think of is zoomers clearly don’t view trauma as necessary for a good character (some do, but not as much as boomers do). Also really obsessed with setting boundaries.

– Cons
• Usually intentionally racist or homophobic. Boomers atleast have reasons for being problematic, wholst zoomers just see a TikTok edit with a cool song playing spreading clearly fake information and they immediately fall for it.
• Short attention span and lower intelligence (statistically proven 😬).
• Black and white view on everything – my god I hate this type of view…
• Lack of empathy – the type of people to bully a neurodivergent person and then go home and see a video of a disabled dog and go “Awww poor thing 🥺” (they don’t feel that bad for the dog even, and will probably send it to one of their friends and mock it in some way).
• They don’t even seem real… most zoomers live on TikTok or Insta… and all the comments are the same, it’s insane.
• Basic as fuck – beauty standards are SO boring… small nose, big lips, etc… all influencers look pretty much the same. Madison Beer is a good example of the look I’m talking about. You can only get it with plastic surgery. Zoomers might kill themselves before they even turn 50 with how obsessed they are with anti-aging. (I wouldn’t be complaining tbh)

Boomers

– Pros
• Usually actually have a personality unlike zoomers. Of course, like all generations, a lot of them still seem like NPCs, but a lot seem to actually be somewhat unique.
• Actually kinda funny.
• Even if they are ableist in some way, unlike zoomers, they will keep it to themselves most of the time instead of laughing right infront of a disabled persons face.

– Cons
• Can be pretty racist, homophobic, etc, unintentionally. Unlike zoomers, for boomers this is the result of how they were raised. But, they’re still adults that should be able to recognise what’s wrong, so if they fall into this category, they probably relate to the other cons.
• Having kids when they shouldn’t be. This one doesn’t need any explanation.
• “Kids these days have it easy” – why do they want them to have it hard? I hate how boomers view trauma as something to be prideful of. It’s not, you’re just fucking insufferable. It’s a hard truth to hear but most people, even those close to you, couldn’t give less of a fuck about your childhood trauma. As someone who used to be obsessed with my trauma, looking back I was super annoying. Thing is, I was a teen, these motherfuckers are ADULTS acting like their trauma makes them some badass movie character.
