I have been interested in superpowers lately (hence The Boys post) and so I decided to make up a cool power. I also have a few others.
You possess a level of physical strength and durability that places you well beyond the capabilities of an ordinary human. Even without actively using your blood-related abilities, you are considerably stronger than most people, capable of overpowering trained fighters, forcing your way through heavy doors, lifting objects that would normally require several people, and enduring impacts that would leave an ordinary person seriously injured. Your body is built to withstand a great deal of punishment, and attacks that would ordinarily incapacitate someone may only slow you down. You can take falls, withstand powerful blows, and continue fighting after sustaining injuries that would otherwise force someone to retreat. However, your durability should not be mistaken for complete invulnerability. You are bulletproof under normal circumstances, but that protection has limits, and the force behind an attack can still hurt you even when it fails to penetrate your skin. Being struck by something sufficiently powerful can leave you disoriented, knock you off your feet, or temporarily interfere with your ability to concentrate. Your body is exceptionally resilient, but it is not indestructible, and opponents who understand your limitations can still find ways to hurt you. What truly separates you from other supes is your ability to absorb blood and convert it into a form of supernatural energy that fuels both your physical capabilities and your more unusual powers. Blood is not simply a source of nourishment for you. It acts as a reserve of power that your body can draw upon whenever you need to exert yourself beyond your ordinary limits. After feeding, you generally feel stronger, more alert, and better equipped to use your abilities, although the precise effects depend on how much blood you have consumed, its source, and how much energy you have already expended. Your body appears to process this resource differently from an ordinary human body, extracting something from the blood that cannot be explained by normal nutrition alone. This process allows you to store a reserve of supernatural energy for later use, meaning you do not have to feed immediately before every confrontation. Nevertheless, those reserves are finite, and once you begin relying on your powers, the amount available to you gradually diminishes. Your most dangerous ability is the power to manipulate blood inside another living person’s body without making physical contact. By focusing your attention on a target, you can exert control over their blood and draw it out of their body, effectively turning their own biology into something you can influence from a distance. You do not need to speak, make a particular gesture, or physically touch the person you intend to affect. The process is driven primarily by concentration and the amount of supernatural energy you have available. In a quiet environment, against an unsuspecting opponent, this ability can be particularly difficult to defend against because there is no obvious physical action for them to anticipate. Someone watching you might not even realise what you are doing until the effects become apparent. However, the absence of visible gestures does not mean the ability requires no effort. Maintaining control over another person’s blood takes concentration, and the more difficult the target is to affect, the more demanding the process becomes. The amount of blood you have absorbed plays a substantial role in determining how effectively you can use this power. When your reserves are low, your influence over other people becomes weaker and less reliable. You may still be able to affect a target, but doing so requires more effort, and maintaining that influence for an extended period becomes increasingly difficult. With a moderate reserve, your control becomes steadier, allowing you to affect ordinary humans without needing to exhaust yourself in the process. When your reserves are considerably higher, you can exert your abilities over greater distances, maintain control for longer, and deal with targets who might otherwise resist your influence. This increase is not necessarily linear, however. Doubling the amount of blood you have consumed does not automatically double every aspect of your power, and certain improvements become less noticeable as you approach your practical limits. Some reserves are better spent maintaining control over a difficult opponent, while others may be more useful when you need to reach a distant target or sustain your abilities throughout a prolonged confrontation. As a rough indication of your capabilities, around 250 millilitres of blood provides a modest restoration when your reserves have been partially depleted. This amount may be enough to take the edge off your hunger, restore some of your strength, and make your abilities feel more responsive, but it is unlikely to transform your performance if you are already running dangerously low. Approximately 500 millilitres produces a more noticeable improvement, particularly if you have recently used a considerable amount of energy. At this stage, your concentration tends to improve, and abilities that previously felt difficult to maintain become more manageable. These quantities are useful as general reference points rather than strict thresholds. Your condition before feeding matters just as much as the amount consumed, so someone who has only recently used their powers may experience a different result from someone who has spent hours operating with depleted reserves.
Once you have absorbed around one litre over the course of your feeding cycle, you are generally capable of using your extraction ability with reasonable reliability against ordinary humans. You can maintain your concentration without immediately exhausting yourself, and affecting someone at a short distance becomes considerably easier. This does not mean every human becomes equally easy to control, since movement, environmental distractions, and the circumstances surrounding the encounter can all affect your performance. An unsuspecting person in a quiet room presents a very different challenge from someone who is moving unpredictably in the middle of a chaotic confrontation. Nevertheless, at this level, your abilities become much more practical rather than something you can only rely upon in favourable circumstances. With approximately two to three litres absorbed, your control improves enough to make weaker supes a more realistic challenge. You have a larger reserve to draw upon, allowing you to maintain your abilities for longer and compensate for some of the resistance offered by enhanced biology. Your range also becomes more useful, giving you the opportunity to affect targets across a room or through a larger indoor space without immediately feeling the strain. Against ordinary humans, this level of power gives you considerable flexibility. You can afford to be more selective about how much energy you expend, and you are less likely to find yourself completely drained after a relatively brief use of your abilities. Against supes, however, the advantage depends heavily on the individual. Someone with enhanced physical resilience may be able to resist your influence, while another supe with less impressive physical strength might prove much harder to handle because their particular abilities interfere with yours. At around four to five litres, you become a substantially more dangerous opponent. Your reserves are large enough to support repeated uses of your abilities, and you can generally maintain control for longer without the same immediate decline in performance. Your range and precision improve, although these two qualities do not always develop at exactly the same rate. Affecting someone farther away may be possible without necessarily giving you the same fine control you would have at close range. Similarly, attempting to influence several targets or maintain a demanding effect for an extended period can consume your reserves more quickly than dealing with a single opponent. At this stage, you are no longer relying entirely on brief opportunities to use your power. You can incorporate it more consistently into a confrontation, provided you remain focused and avoid wasting energy on unnecessary displays of strength. When your accumulated intake reaches approximately six to ten litres, you approach the upper end of what you can comfortably use during an extended period of activity. Your abilities become more sustainable, and you have a greater margin for error when dealing with difficult targets. A confrontation that would have exhausted you at lower reserves may become manageable, particularly if your opponent lacks a specific defence against blood manipulation. You can maintain your influence over a target for longer, work across greater distances, and recover from the expenditure associated with repeated uses more effectively. Even so, having a substantial reserve does not eliminate the importance of experience. Someone who has only recently acquired their powers might struggle to use such a large amount of energy efficiently, whereas someone with years of practice may achieve better results from a smaller reserve simply because they know when to apply pressure and when to conserve their strength. Once you approach ten to fifteen litres, the benefits become less straightforward. Your available power is considerable, but the relationship between additional blood and improved performance begins to diminish. You may notice that increasing your reserves further does not provide the same dramatic improvement that you experienced earlier in the feeding cycle. Instead, the additional capacity is most useful for sustaining demanding abilities, recovering from prolonged exertion, and preserving enough energy to remain dangerous after an extended confrontation. Your body can still make use of the additional resource, but it becomes increasingly difficult to turn every extra amount into a meaningful improvement in control or effectiveness. You also begin to experience a greater degree of strain when attempting to access the full extent of your power. This does not necessarily prevent you from using your abilities, but it makes careless expenditure more costly and can leave you struggling to maintain the precision you would normally expect from yourself. Consuming fifteen to twenty litres places you in particularly dangerous territory. At these levels, your available reserves may be sufficient to challenge supes who would ordinarily be well beyond your capabilities, especially if they have no direct counter to your blood manipulation. Your influence can become substantially harder to resist, and you may be able to maintain demanding effects for longer than would normally be possible. However, the additional power comes with diminishing returns and a greater risk of losing control. You might find it harder to regulate your abilities as precisely as you would like, particularly when you are angry, exhausted, distracted, or attempting to affect several difficult targets at once. The problem is not simply that you have more power available. It is that your ability to manage that power does not necessarily improve at the same rate. Having an enormous reserve can make you more dangerous, but it can also make mistakes more consequential. These quantities represent accumulated intake over a feeding cycle rather than amounts you must consume in a single sitting. Your body processes and stores the supernatural component of the blood over time, and the benefits depend on how much remains available when you need it. The source matters as well. Blood from an ordinary human provides a relatively predictable contribution to your reserves, making it a consistent source of power. Blood from a supe can be considerably more potent, although the effect varies according to the individual’s biology and the supernatural characteristics of their blood. There is no universal rule that says a stronger supe will always provide a greater benefit. Some supes may possess unusually compatible biology that makes their blood more effective for your purposes, while others may provide less energy than you would expect from their physical capabilities. Consequently, the amount consumed alone cannot tell you exactly how much stronger you will become. Two people can contribute similar quantities of blood and produce noticeably different results. The nature of your opponent also determines how easily your abilities take hold. Ordinary humans generally offer relatively little supernatural resistance, which makes them the most predictable targets. Supes are less consistent. Some possess enhanced biological resilience that makes their blood harder to manipulate, while others have abilities that interfere with your concentration or disrupt the process altogether. A target with exceptional speed may be able to interrupt you before you can establish reliable control, while someone with unusual durability might be difficult to affect even if they cannot directly counter your power. There are also opponents whose abilities make them dangerous for entirely different reasons. A supe who can attack from a distance may force you to divide your attention between maintaining your own safety and controlling their blood. Someone capable of creating distractions or disrupting your senses may make it difficult to hold your concentration long enough to achieve the result you want. Your ability is powerful, but it does not operate independently of the circumstances around you. This is why physical strength alone is a poor measure of how difficult someone will be for you to defeat. A physically powerful opponent without any meaningful resistance to your ability may be easier to handle than a much weaker supe whose biology or supernatural abilities interfere with your control. You cannot assume that every fight will be decided by whoever possesses the greatest raw strength. Your success depends on how effectively you can apply your abilities to a particular target, how much energy you have available, and whether the opponent has any way of disrupting the process. Experience becomes particularly important in these situations because it allows you to recognise when a target is resisting, when your concentration is becoming unreliable, and when continuing to expend energy is unlikely to produce the result you want. Your effective range is also tied to the state of your reserves. When you are nearly depleted, your influence tends to become less reliable at a distance, forcing you to operate closer to your target if you want to maintain control. With a moderate reserve, affecting someone across a room becomes considerably easier, and you can usually sustain the connection without immediately exhausting yourself. At higher levels, your reach can extend across a substantial indoor space, although distance still introduces complications. Greater range does not guarantee perfect precision, and maintaining a demanding effect on someone far away can consume more energy than affecting the same person at close range. Obstacles, distractions, and the target’s own resistance may also influence how effectively you can maintain control. You are not simply reaching out with an unlimited invisible force. You are directing a finite supernatural resource toward a target, and the further you push that resource beyond its comfortable limits, the more demanding the process becomes. The speed at which you can extract blood varies according to the circumstances. When dealing with a relatively easy target, you can establish control without needing to devote your entire attention to the process. More resistant opponents require greater effort, and attempting to force the ability through their resistance can quickly drain your reserves. A gradual extraction gives you more opportunity to regulate your power and maintain precision, while a more forceful application places greater demands on your concentration. You cannot automatically incapacitate every opponent the moment you focus on them, and the difference between beginning an extraction and successfully maintaining it can be considerable. Against a particularly dangerous supe, even a brief interruption may be enough to break your concentration and force you to start again. As you become more experienced, you learn to regulate the amount of power you apply rather than relying entirely on brute force. You can make your abilities more controlled, adjust your effort to suit the target, and avoid spending unnecessary energy when a smaller application would be sufficient. This is particularly important when you have a large reserve available. More power does not automatically mean better control, and applying too much force can make an ability more difficult to regulate than you intended. Experience allows you to recognise the difference between a target that requires a stronger application and one that simply requires sustained concentration. It also helps you conserve your reserves during situations where there is little benefit in using the full extent of your abilities. Your concentration remains one of your most important limitations. Pain, sudden movement, unexpected attacks, and environmental distractions can all interfere with your ability to maintain control. You may be capable of affecting someone without moving a muscle, but that does not mean you are free to ignore everything happening around you. If you are struck unexpectedly, forced to defend yourself, or distracted by another opponent, the quality of your control can deteriorate. Against an ordinary human, this may be a minor inconvenience. Against a powerful supe, it can be the difference between maintaining an advantage and losing control of the situation entirely. Your abilities are most effective when you can focus on what you are doing, and a competent opponent will eventually recognise that keeping you distracted is one of the simplest ways to reduce the threat you pose. Blood does not necessarily have to be fresh for you to benefit from it. Stored blood can still provide the supernatural component your body uses, although its usefulness may decrease with age and poor storage conditions. Freshness is therefore a factor rather than an absolute requirement, and properly preserved supplies can provide a degree of consistency when access to other sources is limited. However, stored blood does not remove every inconvenience associated with your abilities. You still need to consume it, allow your body to process it, and manage the resulting reserves. Keeping a supply available may help you maintain your power during periods when feeding opportunities are scarce, but it does not grant you unlimited energy or eliminate the consequences of prolonged exertion.
You can also consume your own blood in an emergency, since it contains the same supernatural component that fuels your abilities. However, this is a poor substitute for an external source. Your body is effectively attempting to recover energy from a resource it already possesses, which makes the process considerably less efficient than absorbing blood from another person. The benefit becomes progressively less useful if repeated, and the physical cost can outweigh whatever power you recover. You may regain enough energy to make a limited use of your abilities when your reserves are dangerously low, but you cannot rely on this method to sustain yourself indefinitely. It is an emergency measure rather than a practical feeding strategy, and repeated reliance on it leaves you increasingly weakened without meaningfully restoring your long-term capacity. You are therefore neither invincible nor entirely dependent on a constant supply of blood.
Sloppy sloppy AI post
You little asshole
2 stars – 8 votes = really shitty score. Everyone thinks this post is fucking garbage and they are right.
Another creative and masterful post by Meow how does she do it? 5 stars wow
Blood magic already exists in occult shit and fantasy games/stories you jerkoff theres nothing original about this post DOWNVOTE!
Get ticked off if you want to but this is absolute dogshit. No wonder they banned your garbage spam on Reddit.
Sorry for not reading through all of this, my attention span is shot momentarily, but I find the “blood power” an interesting concept. You should maybe look into “energetic vampyrism” if you’re interested in the occult.
Honest question why do you treat this site like your Encyclopedia Dramatica? Also is it working? Or more less have you used your cat rectum as toilet paper far too much where you don’t have any paper for a diary to write it all down Like any other civil person? Because it’s Chunked up with your excrement?
