A quiet hum in the vast space
where my thoughts take flight,
too swift, perhaps,
for the currents below.
I see patterns
they have yet to glimpse,
hear melodies in silence
that pass through others,
unregistered.
There’s no boast in this,
only a gentle ache.
A clarity that shines
like a singular star,
bright against the dark.
And oh, how beautiful the view.
How vast the understanding.
But the summit is cold.
The echo of my own knowing
is the only reply.
A quiet longing for a hand
that understands the climb,
the unique weight
of this particular light.
To share the burden
of seeing so much, so far.
But the path leads onward,
alone.
And the silence,
deeper than any sound,
becomes a familiar cloak.
A constant companion
in this rarefied air.
