I’m a lurker here but I am bored so here’s me posting
I’m a 19 year old guy from Estonia and it’s honestly weird how hard it is to find other Estonians on the internet
Even on the Estonian side it’s already difficult. Open any local Discord, forum, or Facebook group and it’s mostly the same people talking about the same stuff. Football, cars, some politics, the weather and whatsoever. If you like the things I like it’s basically silent. You can wait days and no one answers. It just feels small.
So you go to the bigger places where everyone speaks English. And suddenly it’s easy to find people with your interests. I’ve talked to this girl from Paraguay who like the same random films. Some guy from Algeria who has the same taste in books as I do. Someone in Belgium with practically the same music taste as mine. You find them in one afternoon and you can actually talk for hours.
But never Estonia.
I don’t know if it’s just because the language is small or if people like me already left and stopped looking. But either way it’s boring having to speak English to find people with my interests MANN

Maybe get Admin to show you how to start a site and make your own Estonian one matched to your tastes. It might however be that people keep quiet about where they come from if its a small country because its one step to be being identified in real life.
Next time you review a film on EUM write it in Estonian with English translation underneatth and you might wake up a fellow countryman.

About this post I don’t even know what Estonians are, sounds like the name of a rock. But I do tend find far more Americans online. During quarantine I mostly met Americans online, such as on places like Fortnite.
