Today a nephew showed me what he thought was a deep web video on YouTube. A silly video just to get likes.
I remember when the internet started to become global; those were very bizarre times.
I remember using a program called Ares to download music and videos. I vaguely remember how it worked: a PC would share information as long as the name matched.
But oh my god.
Many times those videos were snuff films with the titles changed. I remember accidentally seeing videos of anal prolapse, dismemberment, suicides, people killing animals in very brutal ways.
I was probably 11 to 13 years old at the time. Then, if you add the lack of parental protection, it meant hours spent browsing dark, strange websites, sometimes with encrypted languages, offering things that were new to me. Pop-up chat windows offered me a good time, and I was looking for gory games. That’s where I became interested in computer science, where I met people with the same tastes. I remember we expanded our repertoire, websites that led to other websites, and those to other sites with bizarre Japanese pornography.
All that ended when I was 17. I would click on links and get a 404 error. From then on, I may have been forced to mature; I had to start working.
Now I’m here reading stories and comments, some random and others with a very deep meaning
As I’ve written about on here before, I was obsessed with finding real snuff videos when I was a young teen and teen, to feed this endlessly hungry and fucked up death fixation I used to have. The serial killer Maury Travis made homemade snuff videos of most of his kills, and I did some outrageous, dangerous, reckless shit trying to get my hands on a copy of one from evidence lockup. The one I wanted most was one he actually titled called “Your Wedding Day”. But alas it was all futile and I never actually got my hands on one.
To this day, I’ve still never seen real snuff videos I don’t think. While I’ve seen a couple that were marginally convincing, I still don’t think they were real. But if I ever come across one, I’m still watching it. Cause while I’m better than I used to be, that doesn’t mean I’m not still fucked in the head 😂. Then after watching and copying I’d, um…turn it and them over to the authorities of course 😏

I seen lots of online gore in my youth lmao but one still sticks out to me. Someone was recording someone who had their head half cut off and their hands also cut off (I can’t remember if their hands were fully cut off) and they could barely move. They were still alive that’s what disturbed me and the cameraman was mocking them in Spanish (“come on move move haahahahaaha”) Also I did that ‘20’ disturbing videos challenge when I young. Why is gore so easily accessible lmao. Ofc no I do not watch gore. Watching gore and porn at such a young age really fucks a brain up and I wish more studies were done on it.
